Just what world do academics live in??

You just have to wonder about some academics.

Here is one Australian philosopher academic who reckons that Australian businesses can be the catalyst for bringing civilization back in from the cold.

I can list close to 70 collapsed Australian businesses that would prove him wrong. Rather than bring civilization back in from the cold they are driving society into what American writer Jane Jacobs calls the Coming Dark Age Ahead.

American political scientist Sheldon Wolin has got it absolutely correct when describes the new dark age of corporate and business power in his book Democracy Incorporated; Managed Democracy and Inverted Totalitarianism.

Here are just a few examples of "outstanding" Australian businesses who by their actions refute the Professor's hypothesis.

Talk about the evil of capitalism. No better example than this rogues gallery comprising collapsed corporations and corporate criminals. Just a reminder of how well we Australians are served by our outstanding corporate elite and our corporations!!!!
