Insight into the demise of John Howard

Just back from Carnarvon in Western Australia where I was consulting for a couple of days with human service providers. Carnarvon is a uniquely Western Australian place. Tropical

At Perth airport I bought Peter Hartcher's new book To the Bitter End: The dramatic story behind the fall of John Howard and the rise of Kevin Rudd. and read it on the plane to and from Carnavon and during breaks between meetings. The sub title is rather overblown- can't say it is a dramatic story- but there are some interesting elements to it. What the book really shows is the hubris of Howard and his supporters.
