dispatches on everyday life, social and political realities, the cycles of history, the complexities of civil society, political poetry and song and the struggle of being a good citizen whilst resisting corporate hegemony (and having a laugh) from one of the most isolated cities in the world.

I'm Brian and so is my wife
Hard to believe that its 40 years since I started watching Monty Python's Flying Circus on ABC TV in Albany.
To celebrate their 40 year anniversary the 5 remaining Python team (Terry Chapman died in 1989) have made a documentary- titled Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyers Cut)- covering the history of the Python team. It is the first time in 20 years all five surviving Pythons have come together on a project.
I am going to celebrate by watching their masterpiece Life of Brian for the umpteenth time and watch out for Spike Milligan in his hilarious cameo appearance.
